YONCE CALLS ON RANDY FINE TO COSPONSOR THE Better CARE for Animals Act of 2025

Florida’s 6th Congressional District –

Today, congressional candidate Eric Yonce called on Randy Fine to immediately cosponsor H.R. 3112, the Better CARE for Animals Act of 2025, legislation designed to strengthen enforcement of the federal Animal Welfare Act and crack down on animal abuse.

The Better CARE for Animals Act would improve coordination between federal agencies and local law enforcement, enhance penalties for violations, and ensure more consistent enforcement of existing animal protection laws.“Floridians care deeply about animals - from family pets to animals in commercial facilities,” Yonce said. “This bill is about basic accountability. If you claim to support animal welfare, you should support stronger enforcement against abuse. It’s that simple.”

The campaign noted that despite publicly aligning himself with animal-related messaging in recent weeks, Rep. Fine has not added his name as a cosponsor of the bipartisan legislation.“Protecting animals from cruelty shouldn’t be a partisan issue,” Yonce continued. “If Congressman Fine is serious about animal welfare, he should stand with law enforcement, humane organizations, and the millions of Americans who believe abuse should be prosecuted fully and consistently.”

Yonce pledged that, if elected, he would support federal legislation that strengthens humane enforcement standards and modernizes protections under the Animal Welfare Act.“Our district deserves leadership that backs up words with action,” Yonce said. “I’m ready to do that.”
